Hey! I'm so happy you're here, if you're looking for a newborn baby photographer in Edinburgh, firstly - congratulations you are either expecting a baby or your newborn is already here. I'm so honoured to be considered in capturing the precious first moments of your family life with your new baby.
I work with an amazing assistant Ashley, both of us award winning photographers and safely trained in the art of posing delicate newborns, with over 14 years of expertise you will be in the safest hands in our comfortable studio just 15 minutes from Edinburgh. We pride ourselves on our friendly welcome and love of babies and producing authentic beautiful photography of that fleeting but most important moment in your life - a new baby, we photograph siblings and parents as standard as we feel everyone should have the opportunity to have timeless photos to treasure of the most special person in your life. From bumps, newborn, sitter sessions through to cake smash and family you can rest assured knowing you are going to be treated like a V.I.P. as we welcome you into our gorgeous studio and create beautiful memories to take your breath away.

Amazing photography, we loved our newborn/family shoot. Kirsty and Ashley were so friendly and made us feel so welcome. They were amazing with our little baby boy! We had a couple of sentimental photos that we wanted and they were more than happy to take the photos. We will definitely be back when our baby boy is 1 for his cake smash photo shoot and would recommend to anyone who is looking for a newborn/family photo shoot.

When is the best time to schedule a newborn photography session?
HOW EASY IS TO BOOK IN AND WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO MY SESSION?
What safety measures do. you take for a newborn session?
The ideal time for your session is ideally within the first two weeks of babies birth, when they are usually sleepier and like when in the womb can be posed gently and safely, however things don't always go to plan, if you've had a c section or been poorly older babies can still be photographed so do please do get in touch.
Booking is easy! Just get in contact via my website, phone or contact form, we provide you with all the details you need to get the best from your newborn shoot. And tell you everything you need to bring and explain what to expect from your shoot. If you have any questions during this process feel free to ask so that when you arrive with your beautiful new baby you can sit back and relax and just enjoy watching your little one posed safely and expertly and marvel at the little miracle you have created.
Our little team has trained extensively to be the safest newborn photographers as we know how delicate little babies are. Props and fabrics are sanitised between sessions, and we use the safest posing techniques and always undertake continuous training to ensure we keep up to date to ensure your baby is safe and comfortable during your photoshoot.

BASED IN THE ROSYTH BUSINESS CENTRE
At the studio there is free parking which is a white building with blue writing just off the M90 giving easy access to
Edinburgh, Fife and Falkirk clients. The parking is behind the building which is where you will also find Jane our lovely receptionist who will welcome you to our little space.
My studio has everything we need and more for sessions from oodles of props, backgrounds and outfits but if you are looking for something specific please just let me know.
It is a welcoming space with plenty of comfy seating and a lovely little garden for anyone who may get restless we are also very close to Yellow cafe and Rosyth's playpark .

Ruby and her Mummy came into the studio for a birthday cake smash session. Now, I’ve recently changed up all my packages (find out more here) and they’d booked in for my nice and simple cake smash shoot.
I love these sessions, I just keep it all very, well, nice and simple! Just baby and their cake. Plus a balloon arch and any props from around the studio that take their fancy of course!)
Ruby’s Mum brought along all the outfits we used in the shoot and she’d made the most perfect choices. The white and cream of the clothes went so well with Ruby’s complexion, beautiful hair colour and eyes.
I love sharing my work with new and past clients, Its such a lovely way to document that time in your life that you shared with me.

Top tips for your newborn shoot

We already have the most beautiful collection of wraps, headbands and beautiful props to use to create beautiful photos of your baby. You should bring extra bottles of milk, nappies, and a dummy if you use one, and if you want to include little booties someone has knitted for you, or a special toy from a relative please also bring these along with you to your session. Baby may feed slightly more on the day of the shoot as we gently move them around and position them.

What should we wear TO OUR NEWBORN SESSION?
We want you to be comfortable and you're welcome to change clothing and touch up make up in the studio. We advise against busy patterns & bright colours as they draw the eye from the star of the show (which is you and your baby by the way)! We recommend complimentary colours blues, creams, blacks, and our website and Instagram show lots of examples but you're welcome to chat to us and ask our advice too before the session.

I have been running Bella Photography for 14 years and Ashley has over 10 years experience on her own and so as a team we are extremely experienced, professional and safe - we work exceptionally well together. Kirsty has EDS (Ehlers Danlos syndrome which is faulty colon so I choose to work with an assistant for baby safety which is ALWAYS our priority).
