Safari-themed Cake Smash Photography – Bella Photography Fife
Little Jack recently visited our studio with his big sister to celebrate his first birthday with a cake smash photoshoot, and let me tell you, he is an absolute cutie! Despite battling tonsillitis, Jack was all smiles and giggles throughout the session, making it a truly joyful experience for all of us.
As I was editing the photos, I couldn’t help but smile at how sweet and happy Jack looked. He had a blast playing with messy play and his big sister in the studio, spreading joy and laughter wherever he went.
He clapped his hands in excitement as the cake was brought out. Lou’s Cakes n Bakes in Rosyth had done an amazing job with the cake. We love how they theme the cakes perfectly to match our photography sessions. Cake smashes are such a wonderful way to record your babies first birthday.
Safari Themed Cake Smash Session
His lovely Daddy and Mummy asked us to create a safari theme which of course was our pleasure, with Little Lion, Elephant, Lion, Zebra stuffed animals and a gorgeous balloon arch they got to take home for his party this coming weekend.
I was so excited when Jacks mum asked if we could do a cake smash session on his birthday because to us it’s such an honour to celebrate with our lovely clients while they celebrate beautiful milestones.
Now I have to admit that me, Kirsty got a little overexcited and may have bought way too many props for this cake smash but it was all worth it to see the delight in little Jack’s face when he arrived at the studio.
As with all my sessions, we started off with some simple portraits. This allowed Jack to get used to the studio space and to having his photo taken. He was a natural! He was bopping along to the tunes and couldn’t stop giggling. His lovely outfit was provided by his Daddy and Mummy and Doesn’t he look cute? His amazing big sister jumped in one or two images too! ( while we don’t allow family portraits during a cake smash session we don’t mind parents or siblings jumping into the ready-made set if they wanted to capture a few images).
As with all my cake smash shoots we ended by having a splash about in the bath. Using a simple, cream background (with little bits of smushed cake) meant that all the focus was now on Jack and that wonderful smile. He loved the ducks and was so happy playing with them and singing for us all and telling us stories.
