Have I got an absolutely adorable newborn session on the blog for you today! Meet Zachary. What a super cute little bundle he is!
I’ve known his family – specifically his cousin Jude – for a good while. I photographed Jude’s newborn session as well as his 6 months, year and numerous other shoots as well so it was a real honour to meet the newest member of the team. Especially a new team member as cute as Zachary!
Zachary and his parents travelled over from Livingstone for their session and the first glimpse I had of Zachary was when they arrived with a sleeping baby, all wrapped up in his car seat. I was instantly captivated by that pout!
A newborn session with Bella Photography
My newborn sessions take place at my studio in Fife, a calm, warm and nurturing environment. I completely understand how nerve wracking it can be for new parents when they take their baby out to an unfamiliar space so I work hard to make sure that everyone in the family is comfortable and at ease at all times.
Baby safety is my utmost priority throughout all my newborn sessions. As an aside, I always urge anyone looking for a newborn shoot to make sure that the photographer they use is fully trained and well versed in all aspects of posing safety.
When Zachary and his parents arrived I talked them through the session and introduced them to my assistant, Ashleigh. It’s so important for me to have an extra pair of hands on the shoot. Ashleigh is super experienced and so lovely to have around too! She also adores having baby cuddles which are a real perk of the job!
Gently posed baby portraits
Zachary was so calm from the moment we met him. I don’t think he woke up once, which is almost unheard of for a newborn shoot! He hardly stirred when I gently moved him into the various poses and I just love how he crosses his little feet. What a cutie!
I’m going to apologise at this point for the amount of times I have said the word “cute” in this blog post. There’s just no better word to sum up little Zachary!
I’m such a fan of all the images from this shoot but in particular I love the photographs of Zachary in his woollen blue dungarees. What a lovely outfit! It’s one of his mum’s favourites too and she was so pleased when I told her I’d ordered a big print of it for the studio wall.
